I have just been given a Maplin N16JA film and slide scanner as a gift; it comes with what is said to be MediaImpressions2. Two questions: First off, I follow all the instructions in the book to the letter and when it comes to 'Acquire' the picture the entire computer freezes up forever, the only solution seemingly being to unplug it, after which it tells me 'The system has recovered from a serious error.' What is going on? Secondly, I tried downloading the manual for this programme from this site - fine, no problems, except that the programme to which the manual refers has loads of features not present on my version, so it is no help at all, so again, what is going on?
