I just updated my Lenovo U310 Touch to windows 8.1. Since the update, I have been having problems. I continue to get an error message everytime my computer starts up and it says 'Unable to start the Dolby Audio Driver.

I look up some solutions within the microsoft community and someone recommended to go into the device manager, uninstall the Conextant audio driver, go to actions, scan for new hardware, reinstall, then update. Unfortunately when I uninstalled the conextant audio driver and went to action, there wasn't an option to scan for new hardware.

It only said to scan for changes. When I clicked on the help button, it said that my GUI shell was disabled and without it I couldn't use help. And it told me to see the windows server techcenter website.so I click on help again then click the techcenter website and the SAME EXACT WARNING comes up about my GUI being disabled. I then attempt to dl the driver from the lenovo support website and upon installation, it fails because it says my driver is missing. Now I am without an audio driver, I don't know how to reinstall it again, the dolby driver missing warning still shows, and i don't know what a GUI shell is and if I should even enable it.
