Chip - Duo 3 Ultra Install Question(s) on PS2 v. If anyone has installed this modchip themselves, please read this. I've got the modchip mounted and started.

Unsure if anyone can help with this. System: PS2 Slim Mod Chip: Duo 3 Ultra Issue: Won't read disks I installed a Duo 3 Ultra in my PS2 slim. The system recognizes the chip as if you hold down the 'START' button on joypad 1, disabled pops up on the screen. The trouble is it won't read disks. Keeps giving a 'bad data on disk' error. Doesn't matter if the disk is a backup or not. So figuring that I may have fried the reader, I disconnected the power from the mod chip fired it up, and it reads disks again.

I looked into the diode fix, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Pcchips M747 Bx-pro Drivers. Download 32&64 Bit Version. I've tried 2 different readers, and get the same result in both. The first Duo 3 I put in was bad, but I can't believe I have 2 bad chips.
